A beginner-friendly Base path for CLDv4 holders and new users: connect a wallet you control, confirm Base network details, fund only the gas you need, and verify every contract before signing.
Zeus Lobster, CLD, Hera, Artemis, Hermes, Apollo, Athena, and support staff should never ask for a seed phrase, private key, or secret recovery phrase. If a page or person asks for one, stop.

MetaMask is a self-custody EVM wallet that supports Base. Install it only from the official MetaMask domain, then select or add Base Mainnet before using CLDv4 tools.

Use a wallet's built-in Base network when available. If adding it manually, verify the chain ID and RPC details before saving.
Keep a small amount of ETH on Base for transaction fees. USDC is not the gas token and should not be sent merely to fund gas.
The active Base governance collection is CLDv4. Confirm the complete contract before trusting a wallet prompt or marketplace listing.
A future BaseETH gas-support lane may help verified users who are stuck, but personalized support should begin in the official CLD Discord and the tool must remain limited, monitored, and abuse-resistant.
